One of the highlights of December was Brian taking Grant and Bryce to the ACC Championship game in Charlottesville, North Carolina where Virginia Tech played for the conference title. I don't know if I've ever seen Grant and Bryce so excited about an event, counting down the days and talking about plans for the big game. Uncle Eric was able to join them for the trip, making it all the more fun. Grant and Bryce were some of the youngest fans in the stadium, braving the damp 32 degree weather and even staying for the trophy ceremony after the game, not arriving at their hotel room until 1:00 am. But it was all worth it to see the Hokies clench a victory with a 44-33 win over Florida State. It was a special weekend for all four guys. I'm so glad my boys have such a fun dad!
When asked the following weekend, "How was the big game?"
Bryce gave a concise reply: "Cold."
