On Mother's Day weekend we made a trip to the Chesterfield Berry Farm to pick strawberries. We had an absolutely wonderful time. It was one of those rare occasions when the all the stars aligned so to speak. The weather was gorgeous, the crowds were light, the strawberries were delicious, all of the kids were feeling well and everyone cooperated and had a good attitude. Because, don't be deceived, things may sometimes look "picture perfect" on this blog but we live a real life with real kids. With five kids it seems that the probability that someone will need a diaper change, throw up, have a temper tantrum or a bad attitude, argue with their brother, or just plain be having a bad day seems to be pretty high. So, it's a rare and truly wonderful day when everything goes as planned and on this particular day it did. Brian and I noted that it was definitely our best visit to the strawberry patch yet. What a wonderful Mother's Day gift indeed.
Our five. So proud of my little herd.

On the hay ride back. Bellies and baskets full of strawberries.
